Switzers – November 19, 2011

So, these blog posts may be super delayed, but my actual writeups tend to be done a lot closer to the date, or usually at least within, say, a year, leading me to be able to remember some actual pertinent details. In this case, however, I got to this on my list of things to write about, and discovered that I had never written word one about this experience. It had a line in the file, but no actual text. Whoops. So, well, I went to the pictures from the trip, and jotted some notes, which came out to basically only a paragraph. So really, let’s just say that we went for a hike from Switzer Picnic Area down towards Bear Canyon, and had a nice down and back hike, with the return precipitated by the weather turning overcast and verging on cold (I know, I know, us Southern California weak humans…whatever. We get to hike all year round. I’ll take it.)

What’s there? What’s there? What’s there?

Man. I never wrote this up. Let’s see how we can do now! I mean, not so much to say. I honestly don’t remember too many of the small details. We all met up for a hike at Switzers – getting to the parking lot, and meeting up with each other. We went from the picnic area down canyon, and headed toward Bear Canyon, having just a nice walk, playing with some trees, and having Dragon try and follow Nathan up said trees 🙂 We didn’t go all that far before turning back – it was getting to be a bit of a grey and cool day, but we did stop a little bit on the way back to let the dogs swim around in some of the pools. We tried to get them to go down a waterslide, but they demurred. Fun day; lowkey.
